This Social Forum is created with passion to bring the community, young adults, and destination seekers to explore Cabarrus County's Downtowns.

The goal is to promote our small businesses, arts, community involvement, and much more.

With each post we strive to showcase the hard work, creativity, and uniqueness of our exceptional downtown areas.

It’s time to celebrate the excellence of living life thoroughly in our hometowns.

OWNER / FOUNDER

Raised in Concord, NC you can say I am a special kind of Unicorn! My family roots are firmly planted here in Cabarrus County. My earliest memories are of the County Fair, Concord Christmas Parade, The Bell Football Game, and legendary Cherry Lemon Sun Drop. Becoming a Hometown Girl was something I never thought would happen, but it’s been one the best journeys I could have ever imagined.

Returning home in 2016 I had to find new ways to reconnect with my community and myself. One of the greatest advantages of living in Historic Downtown is I was within walking distance to our amazing small businesses. Through the Arts Council’s Art Walk I was able to reconnect with fellow friends and forge new relationships. These connections led me to volunteering with the Concord Downtown Development Corporation, serving on the Art On Tap board, and contributing time to other service projects.

During a Young Adult Advisory Board meeting my creation of The Downtown Dirty was born. The mission of the social forum is to connect the community to events, businesses, and social affairs within the Downtown and surrounding area. Established in June 2019 the forum has come a long way and continues to grow. In October 2020 I turned the platform into an LLC and officially became the Owner of The Downtown Dirty.

I thank you all for the continued support both online and at our Concord Social Events! May we continue to become a stronger community through supporting each other and our small businesses.
